Couldn't agree more. If I could vote for this 1,000,000 times I would.

I couldn't agree more. We recently signed up for Office 365 and the company is revolting against switching to Skype for Business from Personal Skype. It's not usable for us in the way we communicate. We're VERY disappointed to have to abandon it because I was looking forward to the easier admin piece. Basically our issues boil down to:

messages don't get sent to all devices - so conversations are spread between laptop, desktop, phone, tablet – this is a major drawback for professionals who spend a lot of time on a mobile device.

Group conversations are not named – when you have multiple group conversations going you don’t know which is which

Conversation history is not easily accessible – yes you can search in outlook, but the free skype does this MUCH better by keeping your history right there.

When someone skypes you an attachment it doesn't get saved to conversation history – again, you can search outlook, but it’s much more cumbersome and if you didn’t accept the attachment at the time, you still won’t find it.

For all these reasons we are choosing not to roll out skype for business.
