Its almost laughable at this point, with over 17,000 votes (this thread and the other two threads on here) and almost a year has passed and Microsoft hasn't done anything or said anything to address this IM history issue. It's beginning to seem apparent they have no idea what to do about it.

Re: Tacyon. You can't be serious? The history gets delivered to Outlook in bits and pieces that follow absolutely NO order, making it impossible to follow any previous conversation. Yes.. this is work... and we use this for work.... and would like to sometimes refer back to a previous conversation with another user ... yes, work related stuff.

Lol? Why would there be any lag?! Are you using a 386SX or something? ;) Every IM client on the planet has the history loading and none of them lag.

There's a few threads on this same topic with over 15,000 votes. I wonder how long MS is going to wait before they change it? I kinda feel bad for the people who make a suggestion and it only gets a few votes. If Microsoft isn't doing anything for something with 15,000 votes, i doubt they will do anything with something that has 10 votes. Some of the "history" posts go back to July of 2015 and now its March of 2016. I'll give it another month and then I'm dumping this steaming pile of garbage called Skype For Business and go with something else. I'm sorry Microsoft, I'm hanging here by a string trying to stay but you are forcing me to a competing product.

Why, why, WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! would "Skype For Business" not load previous conversations in the same change window like "Skype" does?!?!?!?! I can not even begin to understand how this could not be the default. THIS IS A DEAL BREAKER, MS. C'mon guys?!?!

It's sad, and yet laughable that someone at Microsoft came up with this bizarre idea of sending the history in broken up pieces to your inbox. What more sad and laughable is that others from Microsoft actually approved this feature.

Why are we even bothering? This thread (and a few others with the same topic) date back to mid 2015. This post is almost 9 months old... and nothing has changed. There's altogether over 16,000 votes for this, yet still nothing is being done. It's painfully clear that the SFB devs at Microsoft either:

      a) Don't read their own feedback forum
      b) Don't care about the issue
      c) Don't know how to address the issue
      d) All of the above.

So I ask again... why are we even bothering?

The person who thought of this idea to store the history in pieces in Outlook should be fired. His manager should be fired. That person's boss who approved that should be fired. The QA testers should be fired. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life. No other chat client does this. Completely unusable. Thanks Microsoft.
