    4. Add real time monitoring to the Server (Network and Call Stats)

      Right, SfB is a REAL TIME unified communicator and collaboration platform, yet there is NO concept of being able to monitor calls or the environment in REAL TIME. You have to wait until a call is finished before being able to retrieve any useful information about a call. which doesn't aid troubleshooting of a live call.

    12. When a number is set to forward or simultaneously ring to delegates or call groups

      If a call group member or delegate transfers the call to the forwarding number it should only ring on that particular number. Managers may want everything forwarded initially to help filter calls. If a delegate determines that the manager should take a call it shouldn't ring on all forwarded numbers again.

    14. Avoid client version fragmentation with central update

      One big issue with Lync is, IMO, the client version fragmentation.

      If you run the great script from Pat Richards "Get-CsConnections" in a one or two years old Lync deployments, I bet you can see many version of PC and Mac clients. The reason could be many: the customer do not have WSUS, or maybe no one correctly manage it!

      The question is: if I can centrally manage the firmware for IP Phone (LPE and 3PIP), why I cannot manage also the Lync clients (PC and Mac) updates?

      The idea is simple: to load on the Lync FE the latest…
