    2. SfB Passive Auth with Exchange - MFA

Today, enabling Passive Auth breaks integration with Exchange. This is called out here as by design:

"Customers who have deployed two-factor authentication for Microsoft Exchange may find that certain features in the client are unavailable. This is currently by design, as the Skype for Business client does not support two-factor authentication for features that are dependent on Exchange integration."

Yet, every Microsoft marketing blog post states that SfB for Mobile and Desktop now supports MFA... Although SfB does support MFA, the inability for it to integrate with Exchange once MFA is enabled is unacceptable.

    3. File transfer error message not clear

When I tried to send a file (.mat file from Matlab) via Skype, the transfer failed and the following error message was shown: "Error in Transfer". I doubted there was a network issue and tried to re-send several times in different network configurations.

After some investigation, I found out that this was not a network error, but just a file extension filtering of Skype. In this case, Skype should show another message like "restricted file" or something, so that the user can clearly understand that this is the intended behavior.

Please consider changing this error message. Thank you!

    4. Data Leakage Prevention and AV scan at edge level in skype for business

We need to have a way to block IM, presentations, desktop shares and file transfers that are have a classification of a certain type like "company confidential". We currently use a marking tool for our office document and must have a way to avoid data leakage when communicating to outside stakeholders via the edge server. we also need a way to scan files for a threat with a third party antivirus

    5. status logs

Enable Admins to export status history logs for all users. This can be used for tracking purposes as to what the status of the user/s was for the day. It would be better if the IP Address will also be included in the logs so that it can be determined where the user logged in to his account.

    6. Enable Skype retention for security groups instead of individual

Currently, you are only able to add individual accounts to a retention policy for Skype. It would be beneficial to enable groups like Exchange is able to.

    7. Show attached file on receiver side

Skype should show sent file's name and extension on receiver side. Currently I can't see what file I accept and it is possible to sent harmful scripts

    9. Option to hide online status from normal skype users

Provide an option to disable the online status for normal Skype users. Otherwise if you enable that users can add people outside of the company network, everyone will be able to see the online status of all employees.
      This is a privacy issue!

    10. Remove the need for the legacy RTC* groups

Remove the need for the older, legacy RTC groups from Skype for Business. Why do I need to assign someone to RTCUniversalUserAdministrator when they are a member of CsAdministrator? Shouldn't CsAdministrator, or the other Cs RBAC groups, give all the access that the group implies?

For the love of my and my fellow admin's sanity, fix this.

    12. CCE and Speculative Update

CCE VM's do not have AV installed and as per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4072699/ they therefore will not get any Windows Security updates past December 2017.

Adding the QualityCompat registry key in manually is not a sustainable option for what is supposed to be a closed box, auto-updating system.

Full details are documented on http://www.tobiefysh.co.uk/2018/02/cce-and-speculative-execution.html

    14. To increase number of users while creating Skype conversation history retention policy

In the Security and Compliance center in Office 365, we have the ability to create Retention Policies for all data including Exchange, Sharepoint, Onedrive, and Skype. For all other forms of data EXCEPT Skype we can create the policy globally to apply to all users. For Skype data we can only create a policy with 100 users. This makes it impossible to manage data retention for Skype within an organization that has thousands of users (or even more than a couple hundred). I had a case open with MS on this; # 1407047478 and was told it's a design limitation.…

    15. Add Windows 10 support for Skype for Business Azure Active Directory Conditional Access

Please add Windows 10 support for Skype for Business Azure Active Directory Conditional Access. I spoke with Premier Support and they informed me this is only supported for Windows 7 and 8.1 as per https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/active-directory-conditional-access-technical-reference

    16. Allow Control Over the S4B Address List in Office 365

Exchange has had functionality to hide addresses for security purposes and FCC Regulations for years. ALL addresses including deleted users can be found in Skype 4 Business search. This is an unacceptable security problem. I can contact the CEO of several pharma companies with Skype, write down their contact info and SPAM them, or send phishing attacks. The regulations that apply to email should also apply to Skype for Business. Users should be able to use Skype without finding every address in the world. For now, the only way to remove an address is to remove the Skype license per…

    17. 1 Click to Logout, Exit, and clear Cache/History

In many Health Care settings, computers are setup with a singular username/password that automatically logs on when the computer boots. Desktop and application security/logon are handled by a third party system such as Imprivata. This creates a problem where ward clerks / receptionists / medical assistants that share a computer end up having access to each others skype account if they do not go through the requisite 6 steps to sign-out then exit. BUT even when they sign-out and exit the application, when the next person logs in they have access to the other's history. It's completely unacceptable that two…

    18. Need a way to hide VIP users from the Skype directory

We have some VIP users who should not be contacted directly by others in the organization, but only through their executive assistants.

Currently we can hide them from email, but Skype keeps it's own directory that other O365 directories rely on (per O365 as we troubleshot the issue), making it impossible to hide VIP users there.

      Ideally we'd like:
      * To be able to completely hide particular users from all O365 directories including the Skype directory
      * To be able to make the hidden user visible only to other in their department or to specific users or groups
      * Hiding…

    19. Disable status generally or set to "unknown"

It should be possible to set the status of one or all users by default to "Unknown". Due to security reasons and also to prevent an unintended "not available" apprearance to other users it is necessary to hide the actual status from any other.

To state it clear: My boss demands the complete deactivation of the status forcefully. Though I don't agree with this, I generally demand full configurability of applications. Office goes regrettably the other way.
