Our company recently switched from HipChat to Skype for Business and the main reason I was on board for this was because I knew that Skype had the ability to press the "up" key and edit your last message to correct for typos. Needless to say, I feel a little bit cheated.
I understand that this may be due to an issue with the security logging features not knowing how to handle edited messages in the logs, but surely you can just tag the edits as individual messages when it comes to the logging.
It looks as though no one from the Skype for Business team is reading through this thread, but I felt like I should say something anyway.
just installed and one of the first things I noticed. Definitely would like this feature back.
Agree 100% - This is like a retrograde, please consider adding message history and the ability to edit/delete messages.
How the **** do you make S4B be the lesser sibling of Skype for FREE?
I know the heritage via Lync etc. but still - if you really want to do something you do it - and S4B client is rubbish in every way compared with Skype client.
In addition to the ability to edit, can we also have our previous messages available to view in Skype and not archived somewhere else? Basically, can Skype for Business just be Skype but better, not Skype rolled back ...
Support!!! "When we send message then that message should be edited same as Skype".
My fingers are fat and I often hit by mistake the next key on my iPhone (very often "i" instead of "o", but not only). Edititing already sent message can significantly help me correct already sent messages and keep the conversation clean and easy to comprehend. Strongly support the request for the Edit/Delete of sent messages feature to be added to Skype for business.
Is anybody from Microsoft monitoring this thread? I don't see anybody from them acknowledging the idea and committing to implementing it or refusing it with some reason.

We have rolled out Skype for business to our whole organization as we previously used Skype and users became accustomed to editing previous messages.
This has been one of two areas where users are pushing back.
I totally agree, Please add edit function.

I don't think it is possible because of the security features included in LINK and no i won't call it skype because it isn't.
It isn't a Skype changed for business purpose but LINK with a changed name for brand purpose and it's possible that the feature isn't adaptable to it.
But it would be nice if Microsoft could confirm or deny the possibility.
This thread has been open for six months. May we get a reply on our suggestion of improving Skype for Business?
Please add edit function, as it is ridiculous without it!
Editting message is very important feature in skype for me. This feature has to be moved to Skype for Business. In business world we can write some typos or some things to wrong conversation un intendedly. It is essential add it to skype for business too.

Why does Skype for business lack so many features available in Skype?
