Lot of wastage of screen real estate
Lot of wastage of screen real estate which is an important factor for people working on small screen laptops like me.
1. Call controls at the bottom can be merged next to the contact name.
2. Space between each message can be reduced and default font can be improved
3. Time stamp can be merged below the contact icon
4. All fonts are too small to read.. definite recipe to get blind or eye strain
OMG, this is the number one problem with presenting desktop in SKYPE.
When working with any large or highly detailed document or image, losing screen real estate means the image on screen become harder to read if not an eye chart reducing meeting efficiency.
PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE: ADD A FULL SCREEN ISSUE WITH NO FRAME, SKYPE BUTTONS, WIGITS OR MENUS. Use an F-Key or Ctrl-Key Combo to return to the normal presentation mode.

The point about font sizes being too big or too small depending on screen shows the need for effective customization options. Any single choice will be wrong for some people, and people should be enabled to tune their experience.

A truly compact mode is required as an option.
Regarding 4. The fonts are anything but too small on our work screens! Obviously dependent on screen type/resolution...

All my votes to this issue. Lync presentation sharing sucks from the presenter perspective trying to present full screen and share at the same time. How was this missed in design/development?? Seriously.
Then the web app uses less than 1/3 of the screen real estate for viewers. WTH?
Just been forced to upgrade to this, was using Lync earlier - what a huge waste of real estate, tablet friendly i bet but for desktop this is ridiculous. Been using it for about 30 minutes and already hate it.
You should also add a "wasted" emoji
Agree - on a laptop screen especially every pixel is precious and Skype just has so much wasted space the icon bar, the main window width, etc.
Please vote over here for this feature.
Yes, definitely. Takes up a lot of space; should be more professionally "pruned" down to keep a professional appearance and make it easier on the eyes.
I completely agree please make it smaller! Let me shrink it!
Well said. That is my #1 feature as well. It's far too big and unwieldy, frankly, as well. Give me something sleek, small and functional.

I agree - All fonts are too small to read!
Despite I have changed size of text in Windows (Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display) to "Medium"!
please make it possible to skin this client to minimize wasted screen space

My #1 suggestion - use minimal real estate to run/manage the whole IM process. This is a tool you want to keep on the desktop while working and having a conversation with other colleagues so I would like it to be as compressed as possible … remove the all the excess white/unused space.
I echo #2. I can't have a conversation on Skype for business because I can't read previous messages without making the window huge.
The size of icons and text is huge. Please make these adjustable.
The amount of wasted space in this app is ridiculous. I have a 1080p monitor and I can't even stack two chat windows on top of each other without overlapping.
