Fix the microphone issue for mac users as useless if I can't speak on calls
There seems to by an user for Mac users which has been know for quite a while.
I cannot use my microphone which is pretty basic, as I do not get an option for Skype for Business under microphone in the privacy settings.
Due to Coronavirus, the UK courts are using Skype for business for remote hearings. Due to this issue I can only see and hear however I cannot speak which makes a farce of the hearing

Same issue for users in US. NYS Courts require SfB for all court appearances. Without microphone access on SfB we are limited to appearing via speaker phone by telephoning the court, which is totally inadequate. SfB needs to work with MacOS to fix this problem!

This was posted by another user and this worked like a charm. I was searching for 2-3 days about this issue, the exact same as yourself. I'm running macOS Mojave 10.14.6
you may install version 16.27 and do a call - after then you are asked for mic access. then you may update to 16.28. I did this as explained.. works.
