Skype For Business 16.28 for Mac does not make a TCC prompt for microphone access. All versions should prompt for mic Access.
Current version does not prompt for Mic Access in 10.14 leaving all users unable to use their mic. All versions should prompt for TCC access to the mic.

Getting the same problem and due to lockin I am supposed to participate in remote court hearings= and can only listen. This is ridiculous that there is no fix yet

it is incredible, this BASIC PROGRAMMING ERROR is still there after several years??
This means that the Mac client is not used by anybody.
Otherwise it would be seen immediately.
I did the terminal fix myself, but I find it ridiculous that I have to fix such a basic problem for MS.

you may install version 16.27 and do a call - after then you are asked for mic access. then you may update to 16.28. I did this as explained.. works.
16.27 : https://download.microsoft.com/download/D/0/5/D055DA17-C7B8-4257-89A1-78E7BBE3833F/skypeforbusinessinstaller-220.127.116.11.pkg
Still an issue - how come a problem this old is not yet fixed???
Come on SFB..........been an issue for 2 YEARS.
I am still facing this issue today. Has there been a solution since?
I do not feel confident enough to do the manual work around on Terminal myself.
I cannot believe this still has not been fixed. SfB is unusable because of this.

The issue and a work around were raised almost a year ago: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/skype-for-business-does-not-request-microphone/83eddd7b-478a-46d8-8403-769978e6c7f9
Those of us in a corp env likely don't have rights to do the db modification. PLEASE FIX!
