Chat history in the new SfB client is listed by recent activity, but chats from the same contact end up getting broken into multiple 'saves'. Would like the option to store the history for each contact as a single running history for that contact.

This is the #2 complaint from my users. Randomly having chats with the same person broken into different "threads" is nonsensical. Skype (public) doesn't do this. Why do it on the Business version? It's not a common paradigm.
Absolutely. Should maintain a chat history per contact. Right now it is very annoying and frustrating.

What on earth is going on when I am in mid-chat and the other person replies to my question in a totally new chat!? Keep chats with contacts together like every other chat client! (Mac client)

We developed Historage - a tiny add-on for Skype for Business/Lync for saving and showing the whole message history with each contact on local client. You don't need Exchange/Outlook to see history.

Absolutely - why is this getting so few votes? Probably because the feedback is split across a ton of other posts.
This is such a pain right now - chat history is a random mess - please group it by contact.
