Scroll down automatically when new messages are received
Even when chat window is open, and new message is received, it doesn't scroll down, I always need to press the three-dots button on bottom right to see latest messages, very counter-productive.
Please enable automatic scroll to prevent having to move my tired little mouse cursor always to chat screen.
Please change it back - I've wasted much time trying to find out how to correct it, only to find out it's a "feature"
This new feature is really annoying. As mentioned many times, it would be nice to have control over the scrolling behaviour. Just add a button "autoscroll on/off" (maybe in shape of a pin, which would be quite inuitive) in the chat window. By that you even can decide per chat if this window is autoscrolling or not. I use Skype for Business 2016 (16.0.7127.1026, 32Bit) at work and miss many conversation updates as the chat window is waiting in passive state. Please give us the power to configure the behaviour by ourselves. Thank you in advance!
This is a bug not a feature! :( SO FRUSTRATING!
Please bring back the automatically scroll down!!
I'm for automatic scrolling in Skype
I agree, please bring back the auto scroll
I agree, please bring back the auto scroll.

Agreed. Silly spec-bug. How'd that slip past? Please do fix.
Agreed. This is just awful. Who would want this behavior?
I don't understand how someone could think this is a good idea. Does that person ever use SFB? Bring back auto scroll!!!
YEs, bring back autoscroll, or at least and option to turn it on/off!

This is terrible, since when did any chat application not auto-scroll, please bring back auto-scroll.
Typically chat applications are clever enough to say:
if (cursor at end)
indicate have a new message
Please can you put the option back to auto scroll the conversations. Even if this is a checkbox in the preferences, it would make a lot of people happy. I often work with many windows open and I am regularly now missing messages as it does not show them.

Pls fix. Pls "rap the person across the knuckles" who suggested it.

Please change back or make configurable.
Here is an example of how this can be really bad!
We do work that requires many teams to stay in touch the entire day. To accomplish this we setup a Skype meeting and we all join. Even though there is audio most conversation happens via IM on the meeting. This is so that we can leave the audio clear for issues that arise during the days activities to be discussed.
Normally we leave the chat window up so we can monitor if someone is speaking to us directly or not. For example when I see it blinking on the task bar I glance over at it (doesn't require setting focus to another window) and I can immediately see if I am being addressed or not.
Now I have to stop what I am doing in the other window, set my focus to the Skype meeting and scroll down to see what is being discussed.
This is extremely painful since someone is typing something every 0.5 to 1.5 minutes and is making our work days extremely difficult. To spend money and figure out other ways to communicate because someone decides to change the behavior of software you already rely on and paid for (we purchased Skype because we knew how it behaved and it could work the way we use it.) really puts us in a bad spot and I don't understand why we can't just disable it.
ms are you guys ******* crazy? this is a terrible idea at least give the option to disable this garbage "feature"

Terrible new feature. Please break it as soon as possible.

It's been happening the last few builds. We may not see messages for an extended time because we're expecting it to show up when it's sent. Like email,

This is extremely annoying - at least create an option for users to enable/disable auto scroll!
