Response group call pick-up
Need to be able to pick-up calls coming in on response groups.
During times our employees are not at their desk for whatever reason we need to be able to pick-up incoming calls, also on our mobiles!
Alle other major phone solutions offer this service, why doesn't Microsoft?

The philosphie behind this current behavior is, that it is better to grant a valued workflow than to fix wrong call-routings.
The key in your sentences is "for what reason".
Think about the reasons to implement intelligent call routing solutions and you will need less features on your IP-PBX, however it is called.
If you want to grant reachability for an extension, create Response Group as you have mentioned and in case, the responsible agents are not in place, create a backup agent-group (if you mind with all employees of the office), so someone will be able to take the call. :-)

Microsoft don't offer it because Microsoft don't need to. They just peddle an inferior offering and management lap it up because it's got Microsoft on the badge. Before you know it a carrier-grade digital PBX has been ripped out and replaced with a glorified instant messaging system but don't worry, all those proper PBX features will be available in the next version because the shiny-suited sales guys told you so.

We would like to use the hybrid PBX PSTN functionality until MS release their own PSTN service in the UK but this is a show stopper for both the hybrid and released service. We need response groups and call pickup.
I highly recommend MS to look into this soon.
