Build a more stable video conferencing system - simple screen sharing seems to disconnect after a couple minutes for our entire company
We have tried working with individuals on different laptops, different offices, different networks and the issue persists.
We have a meeting where we share our screen - showing a powerpoint, a word document or web browser. After a few minutes, the screen share shows an old image and stops updating.
We have more than 40+ individuals using the system and the problem is consistent. Currently we have had to use WebEx as an alternative to screen sharing.
We ideally want to use Skype for Business for more than just chat, screen sharing is a big deal for us. We are cautious of using screen sharing with our customers (we're a consulting firm) due to the instability of the screen sharing functionality.

If screen sharing is your own problem, then you are doing well. At my company we can't have a call without at least one person can't be heard, one person can't hear, one person can't connect and one person can't see the shared screen. Been eating this dog food for too many years.
we have SFB running... screen sharing, and especially remote screen control is difficult due to periodic heavy lag time. The same set of users will not have this issue with Webex, so we are fairly sure that it is not necessarily due to internet speeds (unless SFB is much more taxing, which could point to a design flaw). Also have noticed that there are more challenges when on a VPN or internal to network then when disconnected from network.
This my be a bug with your setup. We have 1200+ users in 8 different countries using it without issue.

Screensharing is very poor on Skype for Business. Considering the other apps like Zoom, it is amazingly poor. I end up starting a text chat which migrates to a call (which is 'tolerable' quality - though should be better) and finally share a screen - where it all goes wrong. We end up with a Zoom screenshare alongside the Skype4B chat and voice.
Considering that ultimately this is all that this application is for and it is integrated into the other MS suite, MS should be best of breed on all three - text chat, voice and screenshare. If other companies can do this stuff, I'd expect MS to be up there too.
