    • Mac : Keep conversations in same thread

Skype for business usability is BAD.
Keep the same behavior as regular Skype.

      CONVERSATIONS
Keep the conversations on the same thread. Stop creating separate threads for no reason.

      HISTORY
Keep history of the conversations. So we know what we were talking about when we open the chat again.

      ADD PEOPLE TO CONVERSATION
As in Skype, adding people should create a new chat.

      MESSAGE SEARCH
As in Skype, let me search my messages history.

That basic usability features anyone would want. If Skype can do it. Skype for business can do it was well.

      DO IT GUYS.

      • The Skype for business for Mac client MUST support WIA enabled ADFS authentication

The Lync 2011 for Mac client supported ADFS servers in SSO configuration for 3rd party browsers such as Mozilla.

Now, the NEW Skype for Business client on the Mac does not.

I was told by support that we either need to roll back our ADFS configuration to NOT support SSO or go back in time and use the antiquated Lync 2011 client.

This is a crippling step backwards for us.

        • There should ABSOLUTELY be a way to add and remove contacts in Skype for Business when you have a Lync 2013 server

Adding and removing contacts is the most basic feature of Lync/Skype for Business and without it makes a messaging system WAY more clunky and troublesome. You can add contacts in S4B 2016 for PC.
You can do it on the clients for iphone and android. For some reason you have decided to remove this feature. It's like having a 2013 Exchange server and telling people with Outlook 2016 for MAC that you cannot add people to your address book.

You have delayed the release of a more recent version of S4B (last one was Lync 2011.. uggg), you have not…

            • Mac client should have the same Join Meeting Audio options as PC client.

              1. Use Skype for Business (full audio and video experience)
              2. Call me at: [select from list]
              3. Don't join audio

All three options should be available on Mac! Today, if a host dials out to to their Skype meeting and enters their host PIN, the user will be booted from the dial out audio conference when they join the meeting at the Mac client (which moves the audio over to Skype audio on the client). There should be a Don't Join Audio function like there is on the Mac to give the user the option to keep the audio…

                • Support AES cipher for SIP on CX series phones and Mac 2011 client. Currently the most secure these endpoints are for SIP is 3DES

3DES is the most secure bulk cipher for SIP. It only provides 112bits of encryption. Many agencies require at least 128. Please add AES 128 and/or AES 256 as a bulk cipher for SIP within the CX series phones and Mac 2011 client.

We would love to move to the S4B Mac client but it is not Enterprise quality at this time. We would love to replace CX series phones with VVX however VVX does not support HotDesking. Please help these legacy client become more secure so our users don't lose features.

                    • UI is extremely slowing down on Mac for long conversations

Especially for long conversations the UI is extremely slowing down somehow. I can't even click another chat tab. I can't even type new message. I can't belive why did not anyone complain this issue!

                      • Why does nothing work?

I cannot add a contact in the Mac version. It requires going into a windows vm to just add someone?

                        I can't receive files.

Messages are routinely never delivered. Incoming and outgoing.

Any attempt to join a meeting takes at least 2-3 tries before connecting.

                        Chat logs are not unified.

You can't share your screen without being in a meeting.

Lync was pretty bad but this SFB is very much worse. This software should not even be released with the amount of productivity loss it creates. I can't even express the amount of time lost simply trying to get it…

                        • Add functionality to call external contacts from Outlook for Mac

On Outlook for Mac the Call button is Greyed out if a normal phone/mobile number is entered.

The Call button only becomes available if a Skype for Business IM address is added in the email section (and set as default)

tested this in outlook for windows and it works fine and can call a normal phone number.

Microsoft support team have looked into it and concluded that it is currently a limitation of the Outlook for Mac application.

                          • Give and take control of a sharing session

If you want another meeting participant to change a file, help you present, or demonstrate something, you need to grant control to that person. This is a normal feature in the Windows version of Skype, called "Give control/Take back control".. Please give us this feature in the Mac version as well.

In todays environment and with Skype for Business established as part of the 365 suite, users with the Mac app should have all the features of the pc app.

There should be a way to turn off message preview for Mac client. It's very annoying!

                                    • Unmute and mute actions on Mac

My Mac gets unmuted when I start a S4B meeting and stays unmuted after meeting is over. Instead, it should prompt me to unmute when meeting starts, and mute it back after meeting is complete.

                                        • Must support status correctly - always shows 'available' during a meeting

Is this a bug or an enhancement? It appears SfB is not syncing up with Outlook. On Windows Outlook/SfB my status would show Red and in a meeting. However on the Mac Outlook/SfB it shows available.
