Add ability to record attendee names, even in anonymous meetings
The attendee list is not known at the time of broadcast setup. The link will be distributed by a team / users may forward inside their organization. This implies the meeting will be setup as "anonymous". However, we need to record who attended. Thus need to have a way for users to logon and state their name, similar to what we had in Live Meeting 2007. An easy option will be to require registration for the event - but with an easy process. For instance - organizer sets up meeting and choose "user registration" as an option instead of anonymous / defined list. Users are prompted to pre-register for the event. They click on the broadcast link, and is required to capture an email address. A verification mail is sent to the email address - with a verification link. Once verification link is clicked, the broadcast starts. This process is a familiar, industry wide process for verification. "Microsoft Account" integration will be an alternative.

Many other competing webinar services have this function, so I hope Microsoft can add this to Skype Meeting Broadcast soon.
I agree. We need to know the names and email addresses of people who attend our webinars hosted through Broadcast.
We also need attendee information for external participants in Skype for Business and Skype Meeting Broadcast meetings. Pre-registration would be great, but at time of attendance name capture would also be great.
I have been looking for workarounds and simply can't get attendees to sign up for a live broadcast. We need this feature there is no point on doing a broadcast without gather the attendees contact information.
Yes! We want the users to register so we have their information. It should also tie to a meeting invitation so the user's will be able to add the invitation to their calendar. These are basic webinar needs. Webex, GoToMeeting, Adobe, and even Join.me have these features.
We also need to be able to track attendees (external from our organization.) A registration function would be helpful. Alternatively, the ability to embed the Skype broadcast to a webpage could also help.

My organization would like similar functionality, but with external recipients in mind. We use GoToWebinar right now instead of Skype Meeting Broadcast because you can enforce external users to provide name/email for marketing type webinars where we want to capture that information. Ideally, it would be nice to have some sort of user registration integration, whether the users are internal or external and also to ensure that when the user joins, their registration information is noted as the user that joined (similar to how the federated option works with logging attendee actions).
